For one, it reminds us of the outdoors! The new Royal Oak Offshore 43mm watches by Audemars Piguet promise maximum style and comfort—and deliver on it too
Earlier this month, three references from the new collection were showcased at a luxury watch boutique in Delhi. It’s one of those rare instances when a newly unveiled watch has made its way to Indian shores so soon after the launch. Here’s a look at what we love about the new references, of which there are five in stainless steel, 18-carat pink gold or titanium.
Sporty, yet refined
There’s no denying that its appearance, especially the colours—blue, taupe, grey and black—are reminiscent of an unfiltered and rugged landscape. For those familiar with the Royal Oak line, the “Méga Tapisserie” pattern on the dial will be instantly noticeable, thanks to its new design, which contributes to the enhanced contrast and finishing.
Comfort is priority
Its claim of an ergonomic design is proven by the case and dial; the case holds larger polished chamfers on the edges, while the bezel and the screw-locked crown and chronograph push-pieces follow a slightly curved form for visual impact. To add to this, the glare-proof sapphire crystal on the dial adheres to the curved form of the bezel.
At one’s convenience
Each watch comes with two additional interchangeable straps in different colours. The watch is fitted with an all-new new interchangeable strap system that makes it possible for the wearer to change straps easily. In fact, a quick click and release are all that’s needed to change the strap. The watch is endowed with a double-push system so that it remains secure when worn on the wrist—proving once again that it’s designed for outdoor adventures.
