About Me
Sonam and Paras Modi share their marriage mantra…

We met at a common friend’s wedding in Lonavla, after which we started meeting almost twice a week with friends. We got along like a house on fire; it felt so comfortable talking to each other, it was like we were long lost friends. The initial courtship felt more like a game of hide and seek. We didn’t want to tell people yet as we were still getting to know each other.

A gift basket full of fine indulgence

Personalised gift baskets containing chocolates and food hampers are one of the most popular gifting trends among couples and guests

Gifting has played an intrinsic role in any wedding celebration—as gifts to the couple or as wedding favours to guests. A symbolic representation of the giver, a gift is remembered and appreciated long after the ceremony.

Simply said, this is a new age in the world of wedding gifting. The practice of gifting is veering away from its traditional, one-size-fits-all approach. These days, wedding gifts are tasteful yet contemporary in both, design and delivery. Eschewing traditional gifting ideas, people are taking care to delve into the needs and preferences of the newly-wedded couple.

Naturally, the spotlight has moved to bespoke gifts and items that are in sync with the theme of the wedding. Specifically speaking, gift baskets like chocolate and food hampers are the most commonly distributed wedding favours.

PICK IT RIGHT

There are many reasons why a chocolate gift basket is a great choice for almost any occasion. Firstly, who doesn’t love chocolate? It is a great gift that may not last long, but will most certainly be enjoyed while it does. It’s always the right size, it never comes in the wrong colour and it always fits!

 WHAT DO THEY LIKE?

You have to ask the question: do they truly like chocolate? Would they appreciate it as a gift? Do they consume gluten? Once you are certain you are on the right track, you can pick from a broad spectrum of various kinds of chocolate. The main components of chocolate are cocoa butter, cocoa liquor, sugar, milk and vanilla. The three broad categories of chocolate are dark, milk and white—all three having more or less of these main ingredients.

PLAIN OR NUTTY

Now one must figure out if they like their chocolate plain or with a little something extra. Do they appreciate classic varieties like hazelnut or praline or are they open to sampling some modern flavours and ingredients? Do they prefer bars or truffles? Though not necessary, these are the questions that should be considered. Both creative and functional, gifts have begun to showcase a new possibility—the all-important ‘personalised’ touch. What this means is that it was made for you!
