We met at a common friend’s wedding in Lonavla, after which we started meeting almost twice a week with friends. We got along like a house on fire; it felt so comfortable talking to each other, it was like we were long lost friends. The initial courtship felt more like a game of hide and seek. We didn’t want to tell people yet as we were still getting to know each other.

Target workouts for a toned body

The bane of every body—problem areas! We give you regimes and workouts to tone up those flabby muffin tops and love handles for that bikini body you're daring to flaunt


What is it: Deposits of excess fat around the waistline.

Tone trick: Lie on your left side with your knees straight. Supported by your elbow and forearm, lift up your upper body with your elbow under your shoulder. Contract your abs and raise your hips until your body forms a straight line from your ankles to your shoulders. Your head should stay in line with your body.

Reps: Hold this position for about two minutes and repeat on the other side.


What is it: The roll of fat visible above your tight-fitting, low-waist pants/jeans.

Tone trick: Lie on your back, raise your upper body and rest it on your elbows. Keeping the upper back straight, lift your legs upto 30 degrees in the air and start crossing them one over the other. This is more commonly known as the ‘scissor’movement. Make sure that your stomach is tucked in tight and there is no exertion on your lower back.

Reps: 2 sets of 15-20 reps each.


What is it: Loose flesh or skin hanging from the undersides of your upper arms.

Tone trick: Sit on a bench and keep both hands on the edge of the bench hipwidth apart; move your feet forward and keep them flat on the ground. Now, just lift your body off the bench and go straight down keeping your back close to the bench; press with your triceps and come up.

Reps: 2 sets of 10-15 reps each.


What is it: Commonly known as ‘bra bulge’, excess roll of fat on your back just below the bra strap.

Tone trick: Lie face down with your forehead resting on a pillow. Arms have to be by your side at 90 degrees. Lift your shoulders backwards and then lift your arms slowly, hold for five seconds and relax.

Reps: 2 sets of 10-15 reps each.
