About Me
Kalki through the looking-glass

As we entered Amy Billimoria’s House of Design in Juhu, Mumbai, we knew we were not in Kansas anymore. The store exudes a happy feeling. From the décor of the store to the clothes housed within it, we could tell that this was going to be a departure from a traditional bridal makeover.

About Me
Sonam and Paras Modi share their marriage mantra…

We met at a common friend’s wedding in Lonavla, after which we started meeting almost twice a week with friends. We got along like a house on fire; it felt so comfortable talking to each other, it was like we were long lost friends. The initial courtship felt more like a game of hide and seek. We didn’t want to tell people yet as we were still getting to know each other.

Up your glam game with colours

In the wake of a season that focused heavily on nudes and neutrals, colour play has finally arrived. The best part? The colour wheel has a lot to offer to the Gen Z bride

The onset of spring-summer 2018 was met with bold and bright colours finding their way into the beauty palettes of make-up artists across the globe. From brightly hued eyelids to vibrant pouts, colour play is here to stay. “This season is about playing with bold and bright colours—be it clothes, accessories or make-up! Now is the time to go all out with vibrant shades of blue, green, yellow and pink for this season,” shares Anjum Bhardwaj, make-up artist, Lotus Herbals Pvt Ltd.

Big, bold and bright colours are known to add effervescence to your overall look. “For the eyes, consider bright-coloured eyeliner applied on the upper waterline and extended to form a sharp wing. Another way to incorporate bright colours in eye make-up is in the form of eyeshadow applied on the centre of the lid only. Top up with a little glitter for extra oomph! From electric blue and bright green to fuchsia pink—the Spring-Summer eyeshadow palette is bursting with flashes of colour,” declares Sushma Khan, National Creative Director Make-up, Lakmé Salon. For millennials, colour play has always been a sought-after trend, note the beauty experts at Revlon. “As of this moment, pastels with pop colours on the eyes are the talk of the town. Mermaid blue and mulberry have the right amount of pop and combine beautifully to create a bold eye look,” share Revlon experts.
