Looking for ways to keep your make-up fresh, flawless and glowing à la Tara Sutaria? Make-up artist Daniel Bauer draws up a list of hacks to master the art of enhancing your natural beauty
Mastering the application of natural looking make-up is no mean feat. It calls for a careful layering of product, effective blending for a seamless finish, and adhering to the ‘less is more’ mantra. Make-up expert Daniel Bauer reveals, “Amidst the glitz and grandeur of a wedding—extravagant outfits, heavyweight jewellery and lavish setups—it’s best to not overplay the bridal make-up. You want to enhance your natural beauty rather than overpower it with copious amounts of product. With this in mind, I wanted Tara’s beautiful radiance and good looks to shine through—just as a modern bride desires. Her skin was prepped and primed before I applied a small pump of dewy foundation for an even-toned, fresh-faced, luminous finish. Then, I used a highlighter to give her skin a radiant boost.”
MIGHT AND MANE
With earthy tones defining the palette and ‘natural’ being the underlying theme, Bauer settled on a natural wavy texture for Tara’s hair. He reveals, “In the spirt of keeping things young, modern and fresh, I created smooth, defined waves. Not only does this style look chic and effortless, it is also low-maintenance!”
With the skin appearing glossy and healthy, Bauer shifted his focus to her eyes. “Every look should highlight one feature; so, I decided to subtly play up her eyes by giving them a sexy yet classic finish. I opted for the ever-so-versatile brown smoky eye look. The brown palette not only suits Indian complexions, but it also effortlessly complements a range of garments,” he shares.
