From a bold play of colours to textured hairstyles, let cover star Taapsee Pannu’s glam game inspire you
Bold multi-toned eye make-up with a seamless gradient finish is currently topping beauty charts. Embracing the trend, make-up artist Maniasha chose an eye-catching colour combination of purples and pinks to add oomph to Taapsee’s eyelids. She applied a shimmery wash of soft pink, moving towards the inner corner of her eyes for a brightening effect. Building on from there, a bolder shade of purple was applied on the outer corner of her eyes. The purple shade was extended a few inches further from the corner of her eyes for added drama. To complete the look, a teal blue shimmer shadow was applied to her bottom lash line. Mascara-coated lashes and defined brows completed the eye make-up.
TOP TIP: To warm up to this trend, start with a palette of colours that you’re comfortable with. For instance, experiment with neutral colours before stepping into uncharted colour territory. Regardless of the colours you choose, be sure to use a clean brush when blending the different shades.
Hands down, contouring has proven to be one of the top beauty trends of the decade! To highlight Taapsee’s cheekbones, Maniasha dipped into her contour palette to create a sharp and structured effect. Well-placed highlighter lent her skin a radiant finish.
TOP TIP: Contour your nose and lips for a chiselled look. Place some highlighter along the bridge of your nose, Cupid’s bow and brow bone for a touch of glamour.
SHOW OF STRANDS
From textured waves à la Dita Von Teese to playful boho-chic braids, Michel Baltazar, Creative Director, Jean-Claude Biguine, India, treated Taapsee’s voluminous strands to an array of styles. After all, there are no limitations when it comes to styling curly hair.
TOP TIP: It’s vital not to neglect the health of your hair. Different hair types require different care and it is important to understand the condition of your hair and treat it accordingly.
