Charmed by the idea of a beach wedding? Look no further than Kerala’s pristine waters and exceptional hospitality for your big day
If you’ve got beaches on your mind, the state of Kerala has what it takes to host a small- to mid-sized Indian wedding. Take the case of Rubah Musvee and Siddharth Prakash, whose interfaith wedding didn’t include any religious ceremonies.
Their wedding planner and co-founder of Shaadi Squad, Tina Tharwani, shares the details, “Held at the Taj Bekal Resort & Spa, the weekend getaway was relatively intimate with about 100 to 125 guests. The celebrations included a sangeet with performances by the families, a traditional sadya along the backwaters and a reception by the waterfront, where the couple exchanged vows.”
TIP: Timing is everything, as Modgil advises, “If you choose the shoulder season, you might be able to save yourself and your guests some money and still enjoy great weather. It’s also recommended that couples plan a trip to check out the place in advance.”
