When singer Akriti Kakar tied the knot.

Listening to Akriti Kakar talk about her significant other feels like they’ve been together forever.

About Me
Kalki through the looking-glass

As we entered Amy Billimoria’s House of Design in Juhu, Mumbai, we knew we were not in Kansas anymore. The store exudes a happy feeling. From the décor of the store to the clothes housed within it, we could tell that this was going to be a departure from a traditional bridal makeover.

About Me
Sonam and Paras Modi share their marriage mantra…

We met at a common friend’s wedding in Lonavla, after which we started meeting almost twice a week with friends. We got along like a house on fire; it felt so comfortable talking to each other, it was like we were long lost friends. The initial courtship felt more like a game of hide and seek. We didn’t want to tell people yet as we were still getting to know each other.

3 facial treatments for bridal glow

Don't rely on makeup alone to get that bridal glow. Here are the top 3 facial treatments you can try out as a bride-to-be

Treatment: Laser Skin Whitening

This is a combination treatment approach with fractional Q switched NdYAG laser called Helios radio frequency and ultrasound.

Recommended For: To get a blemish-free, clear glowing even-toned skin

How Long Before The Wedding: 2-3 weeks prior

Ideal Recovery Period: No recovery period

Permanent/Temporary: Depends on the sessions. One session lasts for about 2-3 months; 4-5 sessions last for a year.

What To Note: Avoid doing any massages or facials on the day of the treatment. Also don’t wax or bleach the face and avoid direct sun exposure for two hours after the treatment.

Treatment: Dermal Fillers

The hyaluronic acid is injected into the unwanted lines (for example; around the laugh lines) to smoothen and plump them.

Recommended For: Good option for those who are less keen on invasive facelifts, but are just looking to smoothen out facial lines;helps plump up and fill hollows, deep wrinkles and scars around the cheeks and chin

How Long Before The Wedding: 6-8 weeks prior

Ideal Recovery Period: 7 days

Permanent/Temporary: Temporary; depends on products used, effects last about 3-18 months

What To Note: In case you are taking any blood thinners, your dermatologists will usually ask you to stop them 2-3 days prior. However, it can be done without stopping as well but there could be chance of a bruise. Give a few days for the filler to settle in and don’t panic immediately after the procedure.

Treatment: Oxygeneo

About Face’s super 3-in-1 facial. Oxygeneo helps exfoliate, infuse the face with oxygen and hydrate it.

Recommended For: For a fresh, rejuvenated look and glow
